Sealed Lead Acid
Sealed Lead-Acid Batteries (SLA) are rechargeable batteries that use lead and a sulfuric acid electrolyte. They are also known as "valve-regulated lead-acid batteries" (VRLA) because they do not require venting to the atmosphere. SLA batteries are commonly used in backup power applications, such as UPS systems, and in portable devices, such as cordless phones and laptops.
SLA batteries can last for up to 10 years, making them a good choice for long-term backup power applications. They also provide consistent power output over their lifetime, making them a good choice for critical applications. SLA batteries do not require regular maintenance, such as watering or adding electrolyte. Sealed lead-acid batteries are commonly used in UPS systems to provide backup power in the event of a power outage. SLA batteries are used in a variety of portable devices, such as cordless phones, laptops, and power tools.
